Introducing ourselves

This blog has been created to support the joyous process of publishing a book to celebrate thirty years of the Friends of Mount Athos. We are Peter Howorth and Chris Thomas – with us in the picture are our great friends Stephen Bober and Peter Desmond on a hill overlooking Dionysiou Monastery in May 2019 where the idea of a book first emerged. Our working title is Encounters on the Holy Mountain but expect that to evolve as we gather content and develop our editorial policy.
